Former Watford defender Tommie Hoban has joined Crewe following his release by Scottish Premiership outfit Aberdeen.
The 27-year-old, who has also previously played for Blackburn, has signed a 12-month deal at the Mornflake Stadium with an option for an extension.
Hoban, who helped Aberdeen to a fourth-placed finish last season, is the Railwaymen’s fourth signing of the summer after Kayne Ramsay, Shaun MacDonald and Christopher Long.
His career has not been an easy one so far, with two lots of cruciate ligament surgery required during his time both at Watford and Aberdeen.
He also suffered a bad knee injury with the Dons and a shoulder problem while at Blackburn Rovers.
Hoban progressed through the youth ranks at Watford after joining from Arsenal and made his debut with the Hornets in 2011.
