Xisco Munoz believes Watford lost their game against Brighton and Hove Albion with their first half performance and said there is still a lot for his team to learn.
While the head coach was positive about his side's second half display, in which they made an improvement, he said the first half was disappointing to watch as Shane Duffy and Neal Maupay scored twice to give the Hornets a mountain to climb after the break.
"I'm disappointed with the first half. We didn't give our best performance," said Munoz.
"But I'm thinking about the positive things. I think the players reacted in the second half after the pause very well.
"We need to learn quickly about the Premier League. I think in the second half we had our chances. We played in the other half of the pitch and always I think this is the way. I'm disappointed only about the first half - we had little problems with different things, but the most important is the reaction.
"The Premier League doesn't give you a second chance. This is the level. Sometimes you make a mistake, this is the Premier League. Today it was like this."
Asked what he needed to work on following the defeat, the head coach said it was important for his players to continue learning and working together, with humility.
"Always we need to learn," he continued.
"We know what is our amazing challenge and we need to stay always with humility - it's important to stay with humility.
"We know what we need to work on to take points, but we can't lose this humility and we need always to continue with a good direction and always try to give 200 per cent for our team."
