Watford fell flat on the road in their second game of the season, losing 2-0 to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Here's how we rated their individual efforts.

Daniel Bachmann - 6

Left high and dry by his defenders twice. Otherwise looked in control of his area and didn't do a lot wrong.

Craig Cathcart - 5

Didn't look too bad out of position on the right again. Perhaps lacked the drive and pace to get Watford up the pitch a bit quicker with counter attacks.

William Troost-Ekong - 4.5

Headed a lot of deliveries away in the centre, but made a big mistake for the second goal with a poorly judged pass.

Christian Kabasele - 5

Had his work cut out with balls being allowed to come his way from the left-hand side. A difficult evening's work.

Adam Masina - 3.5

A torrid first half from the full back, who didn't get a lot better in the second.

Peter Etebo - 4.5

The control he had shown last week was nowhere to be seen. Struggled in the midfield.

Imran Louza - 4

No surprise to see him substituted. A tough first game.

Tom Cleverley - 4.5

The only one to have a shot on target, but was still taken out of the game far too easily.

Ismaila Sarr - 5.5

Tried as best as he could, but service was not forthcoming. A frustrating game for him.

Ken Sema - 5

Looked a bit lost on the left. Didn't adapt well in midfield when he was moved there either.

Emmanuel Dennis - 5.5

Had a chance to get Watford back into the match, but completely misjudged his run. He and Sarr couldn't link up as well as they did last week.

Cucho Hernandez - 6

Made a positive impact, just not enough.
