Ozan Tufan will make his Watford debut against Stoke City in the Carabao Cup tomorrow, Xisco Munoz has confirmed.

The head coach has not used the Turkish midfielder since his summer arrival from Fenerbahce, but has revealed that he will be involved at Vicarage Road tomorrow evening.

Speaking ahead of the match, Munoz said he was preparing to make several alterations to his starting XI as he looks to build confidence throughout his team, ahead of some important Premier League matches, and said some youngsters could also be given their chance to shine.

"Tomorrow Ozan Tufan will play," said the Spaniard.

"He is a player who feels more comfortable on the ball, has good passes, a good shot outside the box. I think tomorrow we can see him because he has good quality on the ball and he can give good things for our team.

"We will have changes. I trust everyone in our squad and it's the moment tomorrow that everyone has to show what is the level in our squad and to take some confidence in this and give a very good performance.

"I think maybe we can put one or two [Under 23s] in the list because they are working very hard."

While some people within the game suggest the league cup is no longer an important cup, Munoz believes it is still a great competition and said he was looking forward to the chance to see his side play more games.

Asked if cup games denied his players sufficient opportunity to rest, he said: "I love football, I think it's perfect. And also we have a squad of 22, 23 players and after we have three or four players more from the Under 23s. It's the moment to play and tomorrow to give a good performance.

"Always for me it's very important. It's a tradition, the cup, and it's important it stays.

"We will play tomorrow and try and take this confidence for our players."
