Watford have announced the signing of free agent Nicolas N'Koulou.

The centre back has completed his move to Vicarage Road today, with options in the Hornets' defence currently in short supply.

Francisco Sierralta looks to be facing a lengthy spell on the touchlines after tearing a thigh muscle, while there is not much in the way of back up beyond Craig Cathcart and Christian Kabasele.

N'Koulou has previously played for Monaco, Marseille, Lyon and Torino and has 75 caps for the Cameroon national team.

He has won the Coupe de la Ligue in France with Marseille in 2012 and the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

He will wear the number 13 for the Hornets.
