WATFORD defender Adam Masina says they are learning something every day about their new boss Claudio Ranieri.

Ranieri has now taken charge of three games for the Hornets, following his appointment as their new head coach last month.

Watford are now preparing for their short trip to play Arsenal at the Emirates in their next Premier League game, on Sunday.

The Hornets are looking to bounce back from their 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Southampton, where Ché Adams’ first-half strike gave the Saints victory at Vicarage Road.

And as they build up to that clash, left-back Masina say he is enjoying the chance to discover more about experienced boss Ranieri.

Masina told the Watford FC website: “Training is massive for us because every day we learn something more about Ranieri.

“We are not happy about the result but we have to keep pushing because it is a really long season.

“We had a big opportunity at the end, it was a tough game, but we have to keep doing what we are doing in training and keep working.”

Watford will be looking to bounce back to winning ways against the Gunners, who are sixth in the Premier League table following a seven-match unbeaten run.

“It’s going to be a tough game because they are doing very well at the moment,” he said.

“They have a lot of quality so we have to go there with our spirit, our crowd behind us because we need them and I hope they stay with us until the end.”

Meanwhile, Masina says he is enjoying competing for the Watford left-back position with experienced former Spurs and England defender Danny Rose.

He added: “Danny is a really good guy, we try to compete in a good way, I really respect him and admire him. We have the same competition in front and we need to keep doing this.”
