Referee Kevin Friend is set to take charge of a Watford game for the first time this season after being selected as the official for Sunday’s trip to Arsenal.
The official has taken charge of eight games so far this season, but only three have been in the Premier League.
Friend, who has shown a total of 27 yellow cards and no reds in the current campaign, last officiated a Watford match in July 2020 when they lost 3-0 at Chelsea.
The referee is due to be assisted by Adrian Holmes and Simon Beck, while Martin Atkinson will be the fourth official. Jarred Gillett is set to be on VAR duties, with James Mainwaring assistant VAR.
Sunday’s game at the Emirates Stadium will kick-off at 2pm and is being broadcast live on Sky Sports.
