The Watford and Chelsea medical staff who acted quickly to stabilise a supporter, who suffered a cardiac arrest at last night's match, have been identified.

The game between the Hornets and the Blues was halted around the ten minute mark for 25 minutes when fans in the Graham Taylor signalled that a fan was in need of help.

Medics from both clubs hurried across the pitch before being led into the upper Graham Taylor stand to provide necessary assistance.

Paramedics attended the scene too before the supporter was stabilised and taken to hospital for further care.

As well as stewards and fans who helped at the scene, the Watford staff who tended to the unwell supporter have been confirmed as club doctor, Ian Hamilton and club paramedic Gary Hall.

Watford Observer:

The members of Chelsea medical staff on the scene are understood to have been physiotherapist Steve Hughes and Dimitrios Kalogiannidis, the club doctor.

Watford Observer:

All four were given a standing ovation by fans inside Vicarage Road as they made their way back to the dugouts after the supporter was safely removed from the ground.

No official updates on the fan's condition have been given this morning, but as of last night they were understood to be both conscious and stable.
