Claudio Ranieri claims he is not thinking about bringing reinforcements to Watford in January just yet, with a busy December period still to focus on.

The Hornets face Manchester City, Brentford, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Wolves and West Ham between now and the end of the month and the head coach said it is too early for him to consider what he wants from the transfer market.

The Italian also said he does not want to panic buy in January and only wants to bring in people who will improve his squad.

"It is too early to speak about it now," Ranieri said. "In December there are a lot of matches and we started with Chelsea - there are another six matches and if I need something more, I can ask the chairman.

"But I have a lot of players injured and maybe they’ll come back.

"I don’t want to buy a player just to bring someone in, if somebody comes it’s because they can help my group.

"My team is not panicking. They know what good they can do, they work hard to achieve what we deserve."

The question around reinforcements arose due to the increasing number of injured players at Watford, with the likes of Ismaila Sarr, Nicolas Nkoulou, Ben Foster and Francisco Sierralta among a list of players unavailable.

Ranieri said he is using his experience to deal with the situation.

"When there are some injuries you have to find solutions," he said. "We have to be clever, we have to study and only with work can you do this.

"My experience helps me find solutions, but also I have very quality players to do this."
