Watford have this evening confirmed the signing of Hassane Kamara from Nice.

The left back has arrived on a three-and-a-half-year deal, for a fee understood to be around £4million.

Kamara is the first of four signings expected to be completed in the coming days, with Samir, Edo Kayembe and Domagoj Vida all expected to be announced soon.

 

The arrivals show the club's support for head coach Claudio Ranieri in the face of reports around his future with the club.

Both the Mail and the Telegraph claimed that the Italian was under increasing pressure with his side losing nine of his 11 games in charge.

However, the Watford Observer was told that the club were happy with the progress they had seen under the 70-year old and that he would be give more time.

The Hornets have moved quickly in the transfer window to make sure Ranieri is are able to work with his new arrivals as soon as possible.
