Domingos Quina's loan move from Watford to Barnsley has now been confirmed following the termination of his loan to Fulham.

The midfielder played just four times for the Cottagers and featured in just one match day squad since October.

Fulham boss Marco Silva had previously questioned his attitude before leaving him out in the cold.

Having penned a new deal at Vicarage Road until 2024, the Hornets were keen to move him on to a new club where he would likely get more game time.

Last night it was confirmed that he had been recalled from Fulham, while his move to Oakwell took a little longer than expected to process, despite Barnsley getting the paperwork in ahead of last night's deadline.

He will help the Tykes with their Championship relegation scrap until the end of the season and will immediately join the first team squad ahead of their fixture against Cardiff tomorrow night.

Speaking to the Barnsley website, Quina said: “I’ve missed being on the pitch and playing football. This is the perfect opportunity for me to come and play and help the team get back to where they should be, so I am really excited and can’t wait to get started.

“I see myself as an attacking player. I try to run forward and be positive with the ball. I like to dribble and have a shot, but I’ll also work hard and support the team.”
