Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has been banned from driving for six months after he was caught hurtling down a motorway at 99mph.

The shot-stopper, 38, failed to appear at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court for his sentencing yesterday (March 24), after he was caught speeding last year.

The court heard that Foster exceeded the 70mph motorway limit on the M40 at Beaconsfield between Wooburn Green Lane and Junction 2 on April 23, 2021.

His car, which is registered as a black Tesla, was recorded speeding at 99mph.

Foster was convicted on December 14 after pleading not guilty.

He was fined a total of £2,250 and given six points on his licence, resulting in a temporary driving ban.
