Watford will have Nicolas Nkoulou available for their trip to play Liverpool at Anfield this weekend, with the defender finally ready to play again following the injury that has sidelined him for months.

The Cameroonian has not featured for the first team since the 4-1 win over Manchester United back in November, after he was brought in as a free agent to bolster the leaky defence.

He played 30 minutes of an Under-23s game against Charlton Athletic at the beginning of the recent break in play, before he was removed as part of a planned substitution.
Elsewhere a number of players will require assessment following their return from the international break.

The likes of Ismaila Sarr, Emmanuel Dennis, Peter Etebo, William Troost-Ekong, Adam Masina, Imran Louza, Edo Kayembe, Craig Cathcart, Hassane Kamara, Joshua King and Daniel Bachmann were all involved in matches for their respective nations, with some playing as recently as Tuesday evening.

One of those, Sarr, played 120 minutes of football in Senegal's match against Egypt, despite it being only his second senior appearance since a hamstring injury that had kept him out since the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford over a month ago.

Kwadwo Baah continues his recovery from an ankle problem and remains the only player definitely ruled out for Saturday’s game, ahead of those player assessments, the club has confirmed.
