Former Watford coach Graham Stack has joined the backroom staff of Championship rivals Cardiff City as goalkeeping coach.

The Hornets confirmed the departure of their former head of Academy goalkeeping last week after Stack had tweeted that he felt “the time is right for me to move on and take on another challenge and to explore an unbelievable opportunity elsewhere”.

Announcing his new role on the social media site, the former Arsenal keeper said: "I’m over the moon and excited to be joining @CardiffCityFC as 1st team Goalkeeping Coach. A great club, in a an beautiful city with an unbelievable fan base! Can’t wait to get started! I’m looking forward to meeting the players and having a successful season together.”

A popular figure at Vicarage Road, Stack had been with the Hornets for four years and had become a key part of their Academy set-up, also stepping up to help Hayden Mullins when he took charge of the first team at the end of the 2019/20 season.
