Former Watford Academy forward Dominic Hutchinson has joined Wealdstone a permanent basis.

The 20-year-old was released by the Hornets at the end of last season, having spent the campaign on loan at National League South side Eastbourne Borough where he scored eight goals in 29 games.

The forward, who found the back of the net 16 times for the Hornets Under-18s in 2019/20 before moving up to the Under-23s the following season, is now looking forward to getting his first taste of National League football with the Stones.

Boss Stuart Maynard told the club’s website: "Dom is a really exciting addition to the group and he’s one we’re really pleased to get over the line.

"He’s a young, hungry lad, who has all the tools to go on and have a huge impact for us. He’s had a brilliant upbringing at Watford, and he had a very productive loan at Eastbourne last season. He got eight goals in 17 starts from out wide, so he’s someone that can offer a lot in the final third.

"We’ve got a great record when working with young players by providing them with a footballing platform to thrive, so he fits what we want and I’m sure the fans will love his infectious personality."
