Striker Ashley Fletcher is returning to Vicarage Road following the end of his six-month loan with New York Red Bulls.
The forward signed a five-year deal after joining the Hornets on a free transfer last summer after leaving Middlesbrough.
The 26-year-old joined the MLS side, who had an option to make the move permanent, at the end of February after playing only 27 minutes in the Premier League, but made only seven appearances for the Red Bulls lasting a total of 250 minutes.
The Watford Observer reported last week that Fletcher would be looking at other options away from Vicarage Road once his loan ended.
Red Bulls sporting Director Denis Hamlett told the club website: “We want to thank Ashley for his time with the club, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
