Watford have snapped up a Premier League midfielder ahead of their game with Burnley.

Hamza Choudhury has signed on a season-long loan from Leicester City with the Hornets having an option to buy.

The club have also confirmed there is no recall option.

The 24-year-old has been with the Foxes since the age of seven and has made 84 appearances in the first-team since making his debut against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup in September 2017.

His first league game came before that in another loan spell, this one with Burton Albion, while his Premier League debut was in November of 2017 against Tottenham Hotspur.

He also has an FA Cup winners' medal from Leicester's success over Chelsea in 2021.

He will be available for selection for Friday night's contest against Vincent Kompany's men.

One man likely to leave Vicarage Road though is Brazilian defender Samir, with a move to Tigres in Mexico the probable destination.
