Watford are continuing discussions with Nottingham Forest over the potential transfer of Emmanuel Dennis, but talks are not as far advanced as some outlets are suggesting, the Watford Observer understands.

Although the striker has been expected to leave Vicarage Road all summer following the Hornets’ relegation from the Premier League, he has featured in the first two games of the Championship campaign for Rob Edwards’ men.

It has been reported that a fee of £20million has now been agreed with Forest for the Nigerian to move to the City Ground.

We understand that talks between the two clubs are continuing but no firm deal has been struck yet.

Dennis, who has been linked with clubs including Everton and West Ham since the end of last season, joined Watford from Club Brugge last summer and scored 10 goals in 35 Premier League appearances.
