Both Joao Pedro and Ismaila Sarr are in contention to start against QPR at Vicarage Road tomorrow, but head coach Rob Edwards will make a decision on both in the morning.

Sarr has missed the last two games with a hamstring problem, while Pedro was absent for last week’s trip to Preston with a calf injury.

Kortney Hause, who signed on a season-long loan from Aston Villa this week, looks likely to miss out tomorrow.

“He’s a fit lad who wants to play, but what I want to do is make sure that when he starts playing he has that extra level of fitness needed for games,” said head Rob Edwards.

“The right decision I believe is to give him that extra bit of time. When Hamza Choudhury signed he’d had a full pre-season and was ready to go. That isn’t the case with Kortney or Keinan Davis.

“We’re sort of giving Kortney a much-condensed pre-season now. It won’t be very long at all but tomorrow will come too soon for him.”

Defender Jeremy Ngakia has missed the last couple of games due to a back injury.

“Jeremy’s back is still causing him a problem and he’s not quite ready yet. It’s a bit frustrating as we wanted to be able to get him involved,” said Edwards.

Tom Cleverley is moving closer to match fitness after his calf injury, Samuel Kalu is close to returning to full training after hamstring problems, while Imran Louza is now undertaking solo work outdoors as he regains his fitness following knee surgery in the summer.
