New loan signing Kortney Hause comes into contention to start tomorrow’s game with Middlesbrough at Vicarage Road (8pm kick off).

The 27-year-old defender joined on a season-long loan from Aston Villa last week, and was an unused substitute against QPR on Saturday.

Out of contention is striker Rey Manaj, who picked up a hamstring injury during the first half of the game with Rangers and will now be out for a few weeks.

Other than that, there are no changes to the squad. Tom Cleverley, Jeremy Ngakia, Imaran Louza, Samuel Kalu and Tom Dele-Bashiru are all ruled out through injury.

Striker Keinan Davis has resumed training after being out of action due to illness last week, but tomorrow’s game comes too soon for him.

As things stand, both Joao Pedro and Ismaila Sarr are in the squad with head coach Rob Edwards saying there have been “no new developments” with regard to either leaving the club after both have been linked to moves back to the Premier League.

Edwards made it clear before the weekend that should either leave, the club already had irons in the fire with regard to adding replacements.

However, notwithstanding any movement involving those two, is Edwards looking to do any other business before the window shuts?

“I’d still like to bring in one someone that can play up top before the window shuts. We are looking at it, but it’s not a guarantee,” he said.

“Someone who can play in our top line is what’s in my thoughts.”
