It’s one of the most hyped and potentially exciting days of the football calendar – and this year The Watford Observer will be spending the January Transfer Window Deadline Day inside the Watford FC Training Ground!

Tomorrow (Tuesday January 31), we will be at the heart of the Hornets football base for the day.

With so much that could (or doesn’t) happen, it’s a day when fans of every club will have alerts on their phone, keep one eye on Sky Sports News and potentially spot a transfer target or two in a service station near the team they support.

Thanks to the kind co-operation of the club, I’ll be based at their London Colney training centre from morning right through until the window ‘slams shut’ at 11pm.

I’ll be blogging live on the Watford Observer website all day long, and will obviously share any news if and when it happens.

As well as keeping an eye out for new players arriving, or existing ones pulling their suitcase towards their car, I’ll also have the chance to see what some of the key club officials based at the training ground do on a pivotal day like this.

I’m aiming to be able to learn a bit more about what is involved in completing a transfer: the paperwork, the medical, the meetings.

There should be the chance to discuss deadline days of the past, and any memorable moves of their own, with some of the Watford players and management – as well as seeing their reactions to any deals if they go through, both for Watford and other clubs.

It will hopefully give a unique perspective on a day that always creates headlines, and a great chance to take Watford fans inside the club.
