Two-goal Ken Sema said after last night’s game that he had told himself before kick-off that he needed to take more shots when the chances came.

The winger had not scored since October but came up with a double including the winner that finally secured a 3-2 success against West Brom.

The Swedish international said that the decisive strike came as a result of deciding he needed to let fly a bit more often.

“I got the ball from Ismaila and I know I have to shoot more often. I never shoot really but I know that I have a good shot,” he said.

“I knew that I have to start shooting more often, and before the game I was thinking that today, if I get the chance to shoot, then I will do it.”

There was some conjecture that his strike for the winner was actually a cross, but ‘King Ken' was having none of that!

“It was definitely a shot, and it was on target too! Some days you have a little bit of luck, and that was one of those days with the deflection,” he smiled.

Sema’s first goal came as a result of being in the right place at the right time, but he has also had to make sure his close-range effort cleared diving West Brom keeper Josh Griffiths.

“Keinan had a shot that came back off the keeper and I was there. The ball just came right to my feet and I just smashed it,” said Sema.

“I saw the keeper diving across so I knew I had to roof it, so I smashed it into the top corner. It was a good one.

“Celebrating in front of the fans again was amazing after being out with my injury.”

The injury Sema refers to ruled him out of six league games between Boxing Day and February 11.

“Obviously I was out for a while and it was hard,” he admitted.

“I worked hard in my rehab and did everything I needed to do, and now I’m back playing and I’m really enjoying it. Playing makes me happy.

“Scoring two tonight after getting the assist against Burnley, I’m feeling good.”

And Sema was pleased that after a second first-team game where he played almost the whole 90 minutes, he was feeling no ill effects.

“Immediately after the game, I’m feeling ok. I’m obviously not yet at 100% of my levels, but I feel alright and I just need games.

“There is nothing that is better than playing in games, and I do feel good.

“I’m happy I’m playing, I’m happy with two goals, and I’m very happy that we won.

“It was a very, very important win. You need to win your home games as that gives you confidence, and we did it against a strong team.”
