Watford Women’s top-of-the-table clash with Oxford United tonight has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The Golden Girls were set to face the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division leaders knowing victory would take them to the summit and into the promotion place.
However, the game has been called off following a 3.30pm pitch inspection.
The Hornets stated: “The referee has deemed the pitch unplayable and unsafe, with standing water due to heavy downpour and weather set to worsen this afternoon.”
They are due back in action at Grosvenor Vale this Sunday when they face London Bees in a 2pm kick-off.
