Three players have left Watford permanently while a fourth has been loaned out until the end of the year.

The most notable departures are midfielder Domingos Quina, who has signed for Udinese, and defender Mario Gaspar who leaves after mutually agreeing to cancel his contract.

Watford signed Quina from West Ham in 2018 and he went on to make 37 appearances for the club, scoring three goals in the process.

Most of those outings came in his first two years at Vicarage Road, after which he spent spells on loan with Fulham, Barnsley and Rotherham, as well as in Spain with Granada and Elche.

Gaspar arrived at Watford last summer, after spending all of his career with Villareal where he made more than 400 appearances.

The Spaniard featured 33 times last season for the Hornets, and his versatility proved to be important when he played in midfield at the height of the club’s injury crisis during the winter.

Two lesser-known professionals have also left the club.

Juergen Elitim joined Watford from Granada in summer 2019 but never played a game for the club.

He was loaned out to Spanish sides Marbella, Ponferradina, Deportvio la Coruna and Racing Santander, clocking up more than 130 appearances for the various Spanish clubs.

The 23-year-old Colombian has now left permanently though, and signed for Polish side Legia Warsaw.

Another Colombian, Ober Almanza, has joined Orsomarso SC in his home country on loan until December 31.

The 20-year-old moved to Watford in summer 2020 and has had loan spells at Albacete in Spain, as well as Colombian clubs Independiente Santa Fe and Real Cartagena.
