A referee is due to take charge of his fifth FA Cup fixture of the season when Watford take on Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium tonight.

The FA website has confirmed that Darren Bond has been named as the man in the middle for the fourth round replay following the 1-1 draw between the two Championship sides at Vicarage Road last month.

The Lancashire official has been in charge of a total of 15 league and cup games in the current campaign, including two Premier League matches and four FA Cup ties, the last of which was the 1-1 draw between Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry City in the fourth round.

Bond, who has shown a total of 68 yellow cards and two reds in those fixtures, is due to have Timothy Wood and Bhupinder Singh Gill as his assistant referees, with Gavin Ward the fourth official.

The winners of tonight’s replay will visit Premier League leaders Liverpool in the fifth round on Wednesday, February 28 in a tie that will be broadcast live on ITV1.
