A referee is due to take charge of a Watford fixture for the first time this season tomorrow when Tom Cleverley aims to make a winning start to his spell as interim head coach.
The EFL website has announced that Matt Donohoue has been selected to officiate the Hornets’ trip to Birmingham City.
The Southend-born referee has taken charge of 26 league and cup matches this season, issuing a total of 121 yellow cards and two reds.
It is more than a year since Donohue last refereed a Watford game when Joao Pedro’s late goal gave the Hornets a 1-0 victory at Wigan Athletic.
Paul Hodskinson and Andrew Fox are due to be the assistant referees at St Andrew’s, with Darren Drysdale the fourth official.
