Oxhey Jets will travel to Rising Ballers Kensington tonight looking to build on a superb first-half display that fired them to a 2-0 victory at Yateley United on Saturday.

The visitors were able to field a strong squad and it showed in a performance in the opening 45 minutes that was one of the team's best for some time, against a strong Yateley side inside the play-off line who had soundly beaten Jets 3-1 at the Boundary Stadium earlier in the season.

Jets sought to ping the ball around and take the game to their high-flying hosts from the outset and their positivity paid off after 13 minutes when Remell Sterling’s powerful cross was hammered into the net in style by Andre Lopes, giving the keeper no chance.

The lead was doubled seven minutes later when top scorer Owen Ayres struck inside the penalty area.

Jets sought to extend their advantage further before the break and the Yateley keeper was forced into several saves, although the visitors needed Lewis Lavin to pull off three top-drawer stops to protect their advantage at the interval.

The second half was a totally different game, with the home side looking to preserve their top-four place, and the majority of the possession switched to them, but the excellent Jets defence limited their opportunities at goal to secure an impressive three points.
