Nikoloz Chikovani scored an injury-time equaliser as Watford Under-21s drew 2-2 at Swansea City in the PL Professional Development League on Friday.

In their first match since the official appointment of Paul Furlong as a member of the coaching staff, the young Hornets fell behind to Thomas Woodward's early strike.

Full-back Conrad Hunt equalised with a cross that deflected in to send the teams in level at the break, and the remainder of the drama played out in the final moments of the match.

Josh Pescatore had the Swans back in front after 82 minutes, before Chikovani netted another leveller in added time to earn Aidy Mariappa's side a point.

The result leaves Watford seventh in the combined table with two matches remaining, with the top eight qualifying for the end-of-season play-offs.

Watford:  Ortelli, Eames, Hunt (Vancea 78), Mullins (JD Moulton 46), Georgiou, Barrett, Smith, Sanghrajka, Keyes (Shevchenko 67), Chikovani, Lawson (Trialist 67)

Unused subs:  Thrussell (GK)
