Ed Still knows Watford's season is ending at the right time, as a number of players prepare to leave the club.
The Hornets were thrashed 4-0 by Coventry City on the final day, completing a miserable finale to the season during which they've lost five straight games by an aggregate score of 16-1.
Still reflected once again on the need for a reset at the club - and alignment from the owner through to the sporting directors and the head coach.
But equally as noteworthy was Still's claim that several players could leave and the squad be near enough entirely reshaped this summer.
He said: "We saw again how fragile the team is in terms of individual and collective confidence.
"We've defended that cross for the first goal so poorly and we've had more than enough chances to come level, if not go ahead, and we don't do it.
"The end of the season is needed - there's plenty of time to reset, to reshape, to start again afresh from the summer.
"A reset is needed. We need to reset the squad, the staff and make sure that the energy around the team and in the team is much stronger and ready to deal with a whole Championship season.

"You need the resources to be able to manage the challenges that a Championship season will give you.
"There's the fact that so many players are on loan, out of contract, or others who you just feel have come to the end of their time at the club.
"That's one of the factors that has impacted us in the past few weeks, because so many players know they're not going to be here next season.
"In that moment, when you're under a bit of pressure, and the team needs to come together again, there isn't that little extra bit of commitment.
"That's the negative. On the plus side, there is that opportunity to reshape and remodel the squad nearly completely."
Having lost a sequence of games so miserably, are the players truly feeling it? Or are they ready for their holidays?
He said: "A bit of both probably. I've seen it many times before, it's just a part of football and you need to try and avoid that happening in your dressing room.
"That cohesion and togetherness with as many players as possible.
"There's always work needed in transfer window but it's to what extent. Here it's a little bit more than what it normally is.
"It's not just those who care and those who want to do better for the club, it's also the quality.
"We need to make sure we've got that Championship quality and Championship experience, to be better over the whole length of the season."

It is understood Still is likely to leave the club but, speaking post-match, he insisted he remains committed to leading the rebuild.
He said: "We'll see. I'm not naïve, I'm not stupid.
"But I know exactly the work that's been done, on the training ground in terms of preparation, team development and individual development.
"But I'm not oblivious to the results.
"I think all the people that have been in contact with me inside the club and around the club have felt how much I care for it - and how, as the weeks have gone on, that care and love for it has grown.
"I'm not going to say anything negative about the club, but there are things that need to be addressed and that can be done differently moving forwards."
Still also talked about the synergy required from the top of the club to the bottom to put right where it's gone wrong.
He said: "You need that vision and it needs to resonate through everybody.
"You have a few key people who drive it - the board, the sporting director, the head coach.
"They drive it, they lead it and it ripples through the club from there.
"The owner has shared my vision so far but it's normal, especially in these circumstances, that you discuss that further and go into more detail in the coming days."
