Hemel Hempstead Town 2 wins out of 4 this June weekend

 A win by 62 runs to get things going again. Batting first Hemel made 208 9 from 60 overs with openers Brett Penny (29) and Hemish Ilangaratne (37) putting on 57 for the first wicket. In at no.6 skipper Mark Brazier saw things through with a knock of 63* from 86 balls (3X4, 2X6), helped along by Tom Elborn (28) and Ed Pike (25).

Hemel then never allowed Preston to get going taking wickets around their top scorer Eden Scott who made 74. Openers Darren James (2 - 31) and youngster Lucas Bertin (2 - 13) did the initial damage and then Ed Pike finished the Preston innings off with 4 - 32 from 11.5 overs.  Hemel move back up to 5th in Championship and Preston drop down to 9th.

 Third placed Old Cams lured Hemel into thinking about winning and then slammed the door shut on them with a 40 run win for Old Cams. Batting first Old Cams. were bowled out for 192 in 48.2 overs with Charlie Hoskins leading the way with 3 - 39 from 8.2 overs and father Nick Hodgins (2 - 30) beating son Jacob Hodins (2 - 40) in the following.

Unfortunately Hemel's batting reply fell a bit short of what was required. The youngest Clark Fin opened and scored 81 from 112 balls (11X4) and no.4 Tom Waterton made 31 from 67 balls (3X4). They were the only 2 batsmen to make it to double figures as Hemel were bowled out for 152 in 43.1 overs.

 Beating bottom of the table winless Frogmore was a must for Hemel 3rds or else they could be back down a division after their promotion last year.  They came good. Put in by Frogmore Hemel made 274 - 7 from their 50 overs. U-17 Drew Butler leading the way with 78, Jimmy Smart (45), Seb Freethy (45) and Andy Turbutt (41) keeping things going in the right run scoring direction.  

U-15 Tyler James then took out the top of the Frogmore batting with 4 - 32, U-16 Farhan Sadiq backed up with 3 - 16 and so did Drew Butler with the ball and 2 - 10.  No Frogmore batter made double figures as they were bowled out for 70 in 23 overs.

Batting first Pinner made 194 - 9 from their 40 overs with U-16 Vimanth Jayasinghe Leading the bowlers with 3 - 19 from his 8 overs,  Matt Scears (2 - 30) and Akshay Shah (2 - 36) following along. Again it was lack of batting in the run chase with only 3 Hemel batters making it to double figures. Akshay Shah led with 24, Sam Wheeler next with (16) and Jim Langley made 10. On the plus side Hemel managed to move up a place to 9th after this game from last weeks bottom, Pinner remain top having won all their played games.
