HHTCC 1st XI - Championship vs Welwyn Garden City (H)

Failed to defend 317 - 5 in first game, this time a little better, bowling WGC out for 234 but failing to get there, finishing on 196 - 8 and getting a losing draw.

WGC won toss and batted and whilst their batting was centred around wicketkeeper Dan Blacktopp who scored 92, Hemel had 2 bowlers who ruled their roost with Freddie Lowe returning 4 - 61 and Parth Mehta taking 5 - 48 from 20 overs.

Freddie also top-scored in the Hemel batting with 44 just ahead of opener Brett Penny who made 43.

But Hemel were never able to input that final push and ended on 196 - 8, 38 runs behind and in a draw.

HHTCC 2nd XI - Div.3A vs Welwyn Garden City 2nd XI (A)

Won at home against WGC II at the start of the season and won again at their place in emphatic fashion.

300 - 5 was the first score of 300 plus for 2nd XI in the league since June last year and with scores like that, it resulted in a win for Hemel.

A cluster of big scores for Hemel led by Tom Waterton with 92, Kam Akhtar with 86 and Harry Ganley with 62*.

WGC II skipper Tom Howegego tried a response with 76 but Hemel bowlers ruled the roost with Jacob Hodgins taking 3 - 26 from his 10 overs, dad Nick Hodgins 2 - 32 from his 10 and Harry Ganley taking 2 - 35 before his return back to Oz.

Hemel in 8th place in the division, WGC bottom.

HHTCC 3rd XI - Div.5B vs Sawbridgeworth 2nd XI (H)

Hemel 3rds had chased 251 and got it in the opening league game over at Sawbo.

This time they only had 200 to chase but failed by 33.

Sawbo were bowled out for 200 in 48.4 overs with Farhan Sadiq leading the Hemel bowlers with 3 - 33 and Adam Moulster (2 - 12), Amjan Khan (2 - 33) and Callum Humphrey (2 - 36) following him.

Jimmy Smart (48) and Dil Khan (34) then opened the Hemel reply with 90 for the first wicket.

But it all fell away from there as their skipper Harry Gale got to work with 6 - 51 from his 10 overs and Hemel were bowled out for 167 in 34.2 overs.

HHTCC 4th XI - Div.8 West vs Northchurch 2nd XI (A)

Lost at home to Northchurch in the first game of the league season and lost again over at The Meadow.

Northchurch were kept to 170 - 9 from their 40 overs with Teddy Butler turning in 3 - 27 and Henry Morgan 2 - 34.

Teddy Butler topped with the bat as well with 19 and Matt Scears hit 18 but that shows the lack of Hemel batting as the top score was extras with 21 and Hemel all out for 99 to lose by 71.

Hemel down at the bottom of the division, Northchurch in 2nd place.

So, so results this week, only 2 defeats one could say but not too positive.
