Watford's six-match unbeaten run away from home in the Championship ended in dramatic fashion with a 5-0 thumping at the hands of West Bromwich Albion.

Jonas Olsson and Graham Dorrans scored in the first half and then goals from Luke Moore, Simon Cox and Gianni Zuiverloon made sure of the win in the second 45 minutes.

West Brom took the lead in the fifth minute when Olsson was allowed to go free at a Dorrans free kick and he headed low past Scott Loach from inside the six yard box.

It was two on 18 minutes when Adrian Mariappa brought down Luke Moore in the box and Dorrans slotted the ball past Loach from the penalty spot.

But Watford did create more chances in the first period though, with Danny Graham, Henri Lansbury and Mariappa all having attempts go either over or wide in the opening 45 minutes.

The second half started with a bang as Olsson had a header cleared of the line, Graham missed a sitter for Watford and Cox headed over in the first three minutes, The win was all but secured in the 49th minute though as Moore smashed the ball into the bottom corner after Loach had made an excellent initial save.

Heidar Helguson was came on after 51 minutes following six matches out with injury but Zuiverloon made it four soon after with some neat footwork and finish.

Four minutes later it was five. Cathcart was unable to make a decent challenge on Moore, the ball broke to Cox 25 yards out and Loach was unable to stop the striker's shot.

Nathan Ellington had a shot saved, Mariappa headed over and Ellington forced Carson into a decent save late on, but Watford were unable to find a consolation goal.
