Highly-rated full back Lee Hodson has signed a new three-year contract with Watford.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 international only turned 18 a month ago but has started the last 13 Watford matches in the absence of captain Jay DeMerit.
The Academy graduate’s consistent performances have seen him tipped to become a full international in the near future by manager Malky Mackay and the next Nigel Gibbs by former boss Brendan Rodgers.
Hodson’s initial deal was set to expire next summer but Mackay has moved to secure the defender until 2012.
