Kelly Smith has been recalled to the England squad for their friendly against France later this month.

The 33-year-old Watford-born Arsenal Ladies striker missed the 3-0 victory over Croatia that ensured qualification for Euro 2013 with a thigh injury.

The Boreham Wood-based Gunners, who clinched the Women’s Premier League title again on Sunday, have five other representatives in the squad for the game on October 20, with Steph Houghton, Alex Scott, Jordan Nobbs, Rachel Yankey and Ellen White also included by coach Hope Powell.
