Kiko Femenia is a summer transfer target for Turkish side Trabzonspor, but cannot leave Watford on a free transfer.
Reports from Turkey emerged earlier today linking the full-back with the Super Lig club and sources close to the player have since confirmed that interest.
However, those reports also suggest the Spaniard's contract expires this summer, meaning he would be available on a free.
The Watford Observer understands that Femenia signed a new deal last year and has two years remaining on that contract after this summer.
Additionally, the player is understood to be happy at Watford and not actively looking to move on, although could re-evaluate his position come the summer, depending on which league the club are in.
The 30-year-old had the chance to leave in January when he was subject to approaches from Villarreal, Real Valladolid and Granada, but opted to stay at Vicarage Road to help try and get the Hornets back to the Premier League.
