The M25 has reopened after a car overturned and fuel spilled onto the carriageway.

It was closed clockwise between j21A for the M1 and j23 for South Mimms.

One person was taken to hospital by the East of England Ambulance Service, according to Highways England. The driver was not trapped.

The crash took place at around midday.

It followed a crash only a hour before at the same junction which involved a tanker and a car.

Delays on the M25 are beginning to clear clockwise, however it is queueing between j22 and j23.

There are long queues in both directions on the A414 in St Albans particularly towards the London Colney roundabout which has ongoing major roadworks.

London Colney high street is also busier than usual as is Harper Lane near Radlett due to roadworks.

There are also long queues on the A414 from Hemel Hempstead towards the Park Street roundabout.

The A1 is very busy in both directions approaching the M25 at j23 with queues northbound from Borehamwood and queues southbound from Hatfield.
