Developers of a 65-flat scheme have hailed a "milestone" moment after the first residents moved in.

While work on Millworks continues to progress at the site off Home Park Mill Link Road, Kings Langley, 14 homes are already complete and occupied.

Another 14 of the flats, which are a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, have been reserved.

“Welcoming the first residents into their new homes at Millworks marks a real milestone for work at the development,” said Bellway North London sales manager Zoe Dobbs.

“Our residents here are largely first-time buyers, and there’s no doubt that the location of the development, just five minutes’ walk from Kings Langley railway station, has been a big draw.

“We’re looking forward to handing over the keys to more buyers over the coming weeks as well as welcoming more home-hunters who visit to see what we have to offer her.”

The one-bedroom apartments cost from £282,500 and the two bedrooms from £350,000.

Charity and social enterprise Sunnyside Rural Trust provided hampers including homemade jam and chutney to celebrate the residents moving in.

Sunnyside COO Emma Power said: “Sunnyside Rural Trust provides real-life work experiences for over 170 adults with learning difficulties in horticulture, retail and animal care.

“Produce in the hampers has been lovingly nurtured, grown and produced by the adults who engage with our services.”
