A student “can’t describe how much it hurts” after their live-in van was stolen and burned, destroying all their possessions.

Nate, based in Kings Langley, received a phone call on November 12 saying that the "beloved" van, which was their home, had been reported on fire in Norfolk.

“There's now an open investigation so really hoping they can catch the people who did this.”

A fundraiser has been set up to raise money for a new home and replace stolen belongings.

Nate added: “Thank you to everyone supporting me through this, you're really keeping me going.

“I'm so grateful for the donations, they are really helping and giving me hope for rebuilding my home and life.”

In the fundraiser a friend said: “This van was a home, a safe space, their only means of transport, and all their savings went into it.

“Nate has lost the most sentimental items that make a home a home, their childhood teddy, pictures, and gifts from family and friends.”

The student had been working part time to fund their course while travelling to Betonica School of Herbal Medicine in Devon for seminars.

The fundraiser added: “I am writing this on their behalf, as it is a hard time and a horrible experience to relive and explain.

“We would be so grateful for your donation if you can but if you can't please share Nate's story to help them get back on their feet after this traumatic event.”
