It was a strong turn out with a chaser and an egghead star attending a local quiz game.

Langleybury Cricket Club in Kings Langley hosted its inaugural OQL UK Individual Quiz Championships on Saturday, March 25.

The game that was played for individuals, saw The Chase star Anne Hegerty come first at the club.

She came 50th in the online game that was held across the country.

Also in attendance was Beth Webster from Eggheads.

Eddie Gunning who hosted and organised the event at the cricket club said: “It was a brilliant atmosphere.

“Of course, it was quiet for 90 minutes – it’s serious quizzing, but it was really fun.

“I think we were the only place in the country that had an Eggheads star and a chaser.”

After the formal quiz took place, everyone let their hair down and played team quizzes.

The event proved so successful and popular the organisers are considering holding another quiz in three months.
