A popular Watford town centre chippy is set to close from the end of the month and the building is already listed as for sale.

Ebb Tide and the flat above it, on the corner of Market Street and Merton Road, are being marketed for £695,000.

According to the listing, the property is to be sold "with vacant possession" and the Watford Observer understands the shop is set to close at the end of the month.

The self-contained two-bed flat has separate access, from Merton Road.

Ebb Tide boasts an impressive reputation in the town with its website highlighting its win as the Daily Mail’s “Tastiest Fish and Chips in Watford”.
