Warner Bros. is filming in Watford town centre a week after its Harry Potter TV series began production.

The entertainment company, which has its flagship UK studios off Aerodrome Way in Leavesden, has been spotted outside the former Watford Magistrates’ Court in Clarendon Road this week.

It is currently moving out of the site, having carried out one day of filming inside yesterday (July 21), staff confirmed.

A large black sheet was hung over the entrance, with a tent to one side and portable lavatories to the other.

There was a white lorry parked outside, along with other production equipment and a trolley bearing the Warner Bros. logo above the words ‘set lighting’. Catering and more parking were signposted at the rear.

Blockbuster HBO and Warner Bros. TV series Harry Potter and House of the Dragon are both currently being shot at the nearby Leavesden Studios, however Warner Bros. produces a wide range of entertainment at any given time.

The court building and the former Watford Police Station around the corner have been popular as filming locations since their closure, although the police station did not appear to be in use this week.

Programmes including Adolescence and Code of Silence have broadcast scenes shot there while at least one as-yet-unreleased production carried out filming on multiple days in June.
