Two drivers were involved in a crash at a junction which is said to be undergoing a safety review.
A white BMW and a black Corsa crashed in Thomas Sawyer Way at the junction of Wiggenhall Road on Monday (June 14) at around 12pm.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says that just a lamppost was reported damaged, but according to an eyewitness one car crashed into the central barrier and the other into the traffic light.
Both cars were also badly damaged at the front.
Police were at the scene and the road was closed off to recover the cars, with the road reopening at around 1.45pm that day.
An ambulance was also called to the scene, which is by Watford General Hospital, as a precaution, but no injuries were reported.
In April, Central Watford and Oxhey county councillor Stephen Giles-Medhurst announced this junction would undergo an independent safety review after concerns were raised about the number of crashes.
Cllr Giles-Medhurst says he obtained figures, which show there were ten personal injury accidents at the junction since it opened in 2015.
