A pre-school where "children are excited to arrive” has maintained its ‘good’ rating after a change in ownership.
Inspectors from education watchdog Ofsted visited Westfield Pre-School on May 9 for the first time since it became a ‘community interest company’.
They gave the school, which provides pre-school early education for up to 50 children aged 2 to 4, the second-highest rating of 'good'.

Pre-school manager Hidaya Mansoor said: “The team and I are really pleased with our latest Ofsted grading of good.
“We are always striving to provide the best care and education for the children and families in our community and will continue to do so.”
Inspectors were impressed by the happiness and development of the children as well as the quality of management but felt more could be done to solidify robust methods to ensure staff provide consistent care.
The report said: “Children are excited to arrive at this friendly pre-school.
"They separate from carers with ease and rush to explore activities with their friends.
“Staff complete high-quality assessments of children's development.
“Parents remain informed about children's progress with regular electronic updates.”
