A man has been arrested after 45 suspected stolen bikes were discovered in a Bushey garage.

Police found the bikes while they were tracking a bicycle that had been taken in Islington.

The victim was able to trace the location of his stolen bicycle thanks to a security tracking device fitted to it, which showed it was in Harriet Way, Bushey.

When police arrived, they discovered a further 44 bicycles inside a garage.

A 53-year-old man from Bushey has been arrested on suspicion of theft.

Police are now hoping to trace the owners of some of the bikes, which are believed to have been stolen in Bushey.

Investigator Kay Leverton said: “We are releasing the images of these bikes that were recovered as we suspect they may also have been stolen and are hoping to reunite them with their rightful owners.”
