Officers were called to Thumpers in Hemel Hempstead at around 8pm on February 1 following reports of a man trapped under his vehicle.

Ambulance and fire and rescue services were also called.

The force said that despite the best efforts of rescue services the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 30-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead has since been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.

He remains in police custody at this time.

John Prendergast, who is leading the police investigation, said: “This was a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time. We politely request that their privacy is respected.”

After extensive enquiries were conducted an appeal has been launched for anyone with information to come forwards.
