A couple feel “violated, angry, and vulnerable” after their electric car was stolen, along with equipment for vaccinations.

Hertfordshire Constabulary have confirmed they were called just after 3.30am on March 29 after a car was stolen in High Road, Leavesden.

The red Kia Niro is believed to have been stolen between 10.44pm and 11.55pm.

According to the victim's partner, possessions inside the car included work ID, glasses, blankets, clothes, and a medical bag for phlebotomy patients.

They have also been left £450 out of pocket due to the insurance excess, which they worry could rise.

The keyless car had apparently been left locked under a streetlamp in the road.

Police asked anyone with information to call 101 quoting crime reference 41/25444/23.

Between March 26 and April 2, Hertfordshire Constabulary reported that 16 roads in Watford and Croxley Green were targeted by thieves as vehicles were broken into and several catalytic converters stolen.
