A Watford 18-year-old has appeared in court after people were allegedly threatened with a weapon and assaulted during an aggravated burglary.

Solwazi Asante is the third man to be charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Ingleby Road, Grays, Essex, on April 21.

It was reported, to Essex Police, that a group of men had broken into an address in the road shortly before 2am, people inside were assaulted and threatened, and one person had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

Asante, of Eastbury Road, was arrested on April 30 and charged with aggravated burglary, possession of a knife or bladed article, possession of a firearm, and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.

He appeared in Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on May 1 and is set to next appear at Basildon Crown Court on July 6.

Mohammed Mansary, 25, of Alameda Place in London, and Hassan Mansary, 25, of Goldsmith Road in London, had already been charged with the same offences and are due at Basildon Crown Court on May 22 and 24 respectively.

A 22-year-old woman from London arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary is on bail until 15 June.
