A "large-scale" cannabis factory was found inside a home in the early hours of this morning (May 12).

Police were called at around 4.10am to reports of suspicious activity at an address in Sheepcot Lane, Watford.

Several residents described the scene on social media with one saying they saw “about 20 different police vehicles there”.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the drugs bust and currently remain in police custody.

There was still a heavy police presence at 6.45am. The property is being cleared and enquiries are continuing, the force said. 

CCTV appeal

In a separate incident, CCTV images have been released of six people police would like to speak to after a fight broke out in The Parade, near High Street at around 1am on Saturday, March 18.

Officers released the appeal today (May 12), with Detective Sergeant Andy Metselaar from the Watford Local Crime Unit saying: “A number of people have been arrested and interviewed in relation to this incident, but we still want to speak to six people who we believe may have been at the scene and could assist with our enquiries.”
