A restaurant appears to be planning to take over vacant offices opposite a train station.

An application asking for permission to display signs for a new eatery called “The Bank” was validated on the planning portal on Monday (June 12) after it was submitted in May.

The Bank would be located in the former Warehouse 51 Productions offices at Parthenon House, Station Approach, Chorleywood.

A proposal to allow restaurant use, instead of office use, in part of the building was approved in February but a second plan “for the remaining part of the offices”, which was made when the tenant left the building, was withdrawn in May.

The Watford Observer has contacted the planning consultants to find out whether a new application for this permission will be submitted.

One sign near the ground with a stylised ‘B’ (that looks similar to a 3) and one “main” sign above the door saying ‘The Bank’ with a similarly styled ‘B’ are included in the application.

The main floor area inside the building covers 226.94 square metres, along with a number of smaller rooms and a 70.86 square metre mezzanine. 226.94 square metres is between the size of a singles and doubles tennis court.
