A 52-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of intentional GBH, dangerous driving, and drink driving.

Police said the drivers of a Volkswagen Golf and a Honda motorbike were involved in an “altercation” in Watling Street, Radlett, at around 9.30pm on June 14 before their vehicles collided, leaving the motorcyclist with a broken knee.

The motorcyclist remains in hospital and Hertfordshire Constabulary appealed for information from witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage today (June 21).

Police arrested the man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving while unfit through drink.

He has since been released on police bail while enquiries into the full circumstances continue.

Detective Constable Gemma Haines said: “We believe the two vehicles were travelling from Stanmore towards Radlett, and I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.

“Did you see the collision or the events leading up to it? Please get in touch if so.

“Additionally, if you have a dash cam fitted and were driving in the area at this time, please check it as you may have recorded some footage that could be crucial in progressing our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to email DC Haines at gemma.haines@herts.police.uk, or call 101, quoting crime reference 41/47745/23.
